This year’s Christmas will be extra special with the HDTV White House Christmas Countdown. As the name implies, this new event will air on Christmas Day – December 24. It is not part of the regular TV schedule and will only be available in select countries. The Countdown will begin with the Christmas Message, followed by a New Year’s Message and finally the Christmas Message.
The Event will commence with President Obama – and First Lady Michelle Obama speaking from the podium. This will mark the beginning of the countdown. The First Lady will declare that Christmas has come to America. Then she will read some Christmas Carols, and the President will address the audience about the special meaning behind each Christmas Carol.
Throughout the evening – you will see amazing visuals of the First Lady reading from her Christmas Speech and the President reading his message. Every hour a different song will be played. In between each song, a short video will be shown. This is especially moving for children as they look forward to the Christmas song they are hearing. During the Christmas songs, special events will be shown. These include the recovery of soldiers, the crowning of the new King and more.
Each day there will be a different movie playing – and this will take you back in time to see the historic events that happened in each of the reigns of King Charles II and King Edward II. There will also be some fun facts shown in the videos. For example, the first Christmas ever celebrated was on Christmas day in 13th century. It was called “pnasDAQeldydd” and no one knows what the event was about.
Another exciting thing about the HDTV White House – Christmas Countdown is that you get to listen to the historical speeches. They will come from each reign and will highlight that particular reign. You can also listen to the short videos that are shown during the Christmas concerts. All in all, this program is a great way to get ready for Christmas. You can use it to teach your children about Christmas history and even have fun listening to some fun Christmas songs.
For those who want to participate – there are certain things you will need to do before the countdown begins. First of all, check out the special website and sign up for the service. This is where your child will enter their name into the drawing for Christmas gifts. Children over the age of 12 will be eligible to win one of the special Christmas gifts available. Next, decorate your home with festive decorations and set up decorations around your house.
Finally, make sure all of your family members listen to the Christmas songs being played during the special HDTV show.
